The last remaining wonder of the ancient world; for nearly 4000 years, the extraordinary shape, impeccable geometry and sheer bulk of the Giza Pyramids have invited the obvious questions: ‘How were we built, and why?’. Today they stand as an awe-inspiring tribute to the might, organisation and achievements of ancient Egypt.

Founded in 331 BC by 25-year-old Alexander the Great, Alexandria (Al Iskendariyya in Arabic) is the stuff of legend. Its towering Pharos lighthouse, marking the ancient harbour’s entrance, was one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and its Great Library was considered the archive of ancient knowledge. Alas, fate dealt the city a spate of cruel blows. The Pharos collapsed and the Great Library was torched. Part of the ancient city disappeared under the sea and part under the modern city. Today we will take you to discover the glory of the ancient remains in this beautiful city.

On this journey, we will be indulged in religions, specifically Islamic, Jewish, and Coptic religions. We will explore some of the oldest intact churches in the middle east in addition to Ben Ezra synagogue, where they found a valuable treasure buried in the foundation of the holy place.Walk through some of the oldest streets in Cairo, Sip some mint tea at the end of the day and watch the world passing by. Massive yet elegant, these grand structures are regarded as the finest pieces of Islamic Cairo. On this tour you will get to learn more about Islam and it’s history in Egypt. In the afternoon we will take you in a walk through the skinny lanes of Khan Al Khalili which are basically a medieval-style mall. This agglomeration of shops – many arranged around small courtyards – stock everything from soap powder to semiprecious stones, not to mention tacky toy camels and alabaster pyramids.
